Kenneth Hu, MD
Kenneth Hu, MD, serves as the Director of the Radiation Oncology Program at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, and he is also an attending physician in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Beth Israel Medical Center and St. Luke's and Roosevelt Hospitals, and Co- Director of Head and Neck Cancer Research for Continuum Cancer Centers of New York. Dr. Hu joined the department as an attending physician after completing a one-year brachytherapy fellowship in the department. Dr. Hu has trained extensively in brachytherapy procedures and was involved in the
development of the radiation oncology department's intraoperative radiation therapy program (IORT). He is a nationally prominent radiation oncologist who specializes in head and neck cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, ocular tumors, brain tumors and sarcomas. He is actively involved in research to improve treatment for head and neck as well as gastrointestinal cancers. His teaching courses on tehniques of head and neck radiation have earned him national recognition. Dr. Hu serves as an assistant professor in radiation oncology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Hu received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School-MIT, and he completed his residency training in radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He completed a Fellowship in Brachytherapy at Beth Israel Medical Center. He is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American Society for Clinical Oncology, and New York Head and Neck Society. Dr. Hu is board
certified by the American College of Radiology.
